Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP) Model Applications in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and Alzheimer’s Disease

Meet the Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP) experts and view applications in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) as presented by Certara’s QSP experts Doug Chung, and Hugo Geerts.

About the Webinar

Quantitative systems pharmacology (QSP) is the culmination of approaches from pharmacokinetics pharmacodynamics (PKPD) and systems biology. Through PKPD and physiologically based pharmacokinetics (PBPK), we obtain confidence in the compounds, through target exposure, target engagements, and target modulation. Through systems biology, we build confidence in the biological targets and the mechanism through quantitative models of pathways, pathophysiology, and disease. The FDA has seen an increase in the number of submissions supported by QSP in recent years. The objective of this webinar is to illustrate some applications of QSP in clinical development and discuss the impact and future trends.

Key Learnings

We introduce our QSP experts and present two case studies:

  • QSP and AI integrated Platform Model for Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)
  • QSP Platform Model for Alzheimer’s Disease

Speakers

  • Piet van der Graaf, SVP and Head of QSP
  • Doug Chung, Senior Director, QSP
  • Hugo Geerts, Head of Neuroscience Modeling QSP
