Michael Minshall is a Senior Consultant in Certara’s Evidence & Access Group. Working through the New York City office, Michael’s role will be to provide innovative HEOR and Real-World Evidence projects. Michael began his outcomes research career with Eli Lilly and Company in the Global Health Outcomes Research for 11+ years. Michael then started his first outcomes research consulting company called the Center for Outcomes Research-USA (CORE-USA, LLC), later acquired by IMS-Health, where he spent 4+ years in total. Michael then moved to Covidien (medical devices) for 4 years taking on roles with increasing responsibility ending as Senior Director, HEOR. Michael then took a position with DJO Global as Senior Director, Health Economics & Reimbursement with responsibility to design, implement, and execute healthcare economics strategies across the product portfolio and across the world. Michael then started his second outcomes research consulting company called Strategic Consulting & Outcomes Research Inc. and later that same year, accepted a Research Lead role with Humana, Comprehensive Health Insights, and was introduced to outcomes research through a large US payer. Michael then accepted a Senior Director, HEOR role with CTI Clinical Trial and Consulting before accepting his current role as Senior Consultant, at Certara. Michael has authored a large volume of peer-reviewed medical communications and is a peer-reviewer for several health outcomes research journals. Michael is a member of the editorial advisory boards for Expert Review of Pharmacoeconomics & Outcomes Research and The Open Pharmacoeconomics & Health Economics Journal. Michael received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Alma College, Alma, Michigan, and a Masters in Public Health (MPH), with a focus in epidemiology, from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston-School of Public Health.
