Maria Luisa Sardu is a biomedical engineer by training and received her Master’s degree at University of Pavia. She obtained her PhD in January 2015 at the University of Pavia. Her research activity was entirely focused on pharmacokinetic and pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic modeling in oncology across different phases of drug-development. During her PhD, she worked for several Janssen internal projects in oncology, and she spent six months internship at Janssen Pharmaceutica in Beerse (Belgium) joining the MBDD group. After completing her PhD, she held a postdoctoral fellow position at the University of Pavia, working for an oncology project sponsored by Janssen Pharmaceutica. In September, 2015 she joined the Merck Institute of Pharmacometrics in Lausanne where she worked as postdoctoral fellow both for an oncology internal research project and for the DDMoRe project.
In April, 2017 she joined Certara Strategic Consulting. She is currently an associate director and consultant modeler working on PK and PK/PD projects in clinical development in different therapeutic areas.
