Lianne Barnieh is an Associate Director at Certara Evidence & Access, working out of the Canadian office. In a diverse role, she provides vital expertise to support both HEOR and epidemiology projects, and possesses specialist knowledge of both the French and Canadian markets.
Prior to joining Certara, she was the Economic Guidance Panel Lead for 40+ submissions at the pan-Canadian Oncology Drug Review (pCODR). Here, she primarily worked in reviewing the cost-effectiveness and budget-impact submissions for incoming drugs, in addition to writing guidance reports for the expert committee. During this time, Lianne also worked in health research—building numerous health economic models to examine impacts in public policy, such as living kidney donation and smoking cessation—and on other large administrative health database projects.
Lianne gained a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Calgary, and built on this by completing a post-doctoral fellowship in Health Economics, where she focused on decision-analysis modeling and systematic reviews. She then continued to work in academia in the field of research and policy analysis, as well as for NGOs such as the World Food Programme.
