Jeff Nichols joined Certara in 2008 and currently serves as the Vice President of Product. With extensive experience in software development and UI/UX design, Jeff leads front-end development and oversees all user-facing aspects of the BaseCase platform.
Jeff received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. During his studies, he worked on 3D visualizations for an atmospheric model developed in support of NASA’s TIMED satellite mission and presented this work at NCUR, the National Conference on Undergraduate Research. Alongside his studies and research, Jeff worked at Object Factory in Greenville, writing system software for assembly line automation.
Prior to joining Certara, Jeff was a senior software developer at weblicon technologies AG in Berlin, Germany, where he led the development of one of the first OMA-certified data synchronization servers for the telecommunications industry. Following weblicon, Jeff developed a Windows desktop client for Musicmobs, a playlist sharing service, and he has personally developed and released various consumer applications for macOS. Jeff is the father of two children and lives with his family in Berlin.
