Dr. Eline van Maanen joined Certara in early 2018 as Associate Director of Consulting Services. She has nearly 10 years of consultancy experience in the fields of mechanism-based modeling and simulation.
Prior to 2018, she worked as a PK/PD consultant at LAP&P Consultants, where she contributed to a wide range of pharmacometric projects, such as mechanistic PK/PD modeling across all phases of clinical drug development, viral dynamics modeling, tracer compartmental modeling, and categorical modeling.
Dr. Eline van Maanen holds a Master’s (with distinction) in Life Science & Technology from Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands. While working as a consultant, she conducted her PhD research on Alzheimer’s disease, developing a quantitative systems pharmacology model for the amyloid cascade with a focus on oligomer modulation, which was carried out as a collaboration between the Leiden Academic Centre for Drug Research (LACDR) at Leiden University, Merck & Co., Inc. (Kenilworth, NJ, USA), and LAP&P.
In her spare time, Eline enjoys reading books, taking long walks in nature, and spending time with her husband and daughter.
