Eduardo Urbina joined Certara in 2015 as a Senior Health Economics Consultant. In his current role as Director of Consulting, Eduardo works directly with clients to develop value communication tools and mobile content to enable drug development and optimized patient access.
Eduardo’s diverse educational background has influenced his ability to tackle a multitude of projects. In 2007 he graduated from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education, with a BSc in Industrial and Systems Engineering, Productivity, Quality and Process Simulation. He then went on to receive his MSc in International Health Management from Imperial College in London, focusing on strategic management, health economics, and organizational behavior.
He started his career as an Operations Analyst at Cinepolis and quickly moved up to an Operations Strategy Coordinator. At Cinepolis he observed market trends and competitor behaviors to create simulation models, thereby increasing the company’s productivity and reducing costs. He also spent over two years as a consultant for Deloitte in Belgium, building Markov models and developing market access projects for new drugs and medical devices in EU5 countries.
