Dr. Amanda Wang has over 15 years of academic research and consulting experience in statistical and epidemiological modeling, with a focus on methodology of mixed effect models and Bayesian framework. She received her Ph.D. in statistics from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has worked as a Biostatistician at PRA Health Science, Inc. before joining Certara and as an Assistant Professor of Statistics Department at University of Virginia from 2004 to 2012. She has published extensively including a book of “Testlet Response Theory and Its Applications” by Cambridge University Press in 2007 and received several awards for her academic contributions, among which in 2006 by National Council on Measurement in Education for her scientific contribution to the field of educational measurement for the development of Testlet Response Theory.
Dr. Wang has worked on projects in a wide range of therapeutic areas including oncology, Leukemia, gout, and rare disease. She has led clinical trials of phase I, II, III, and post-market. She has supported NDA filings for FDA and EMA. At Certara, her work focuses on population PK and PKPD modeling and statistical consulting on clinical study design.
