Certara’s Simcyp team is a global organisation focussed on using the Simcyp physiologically-based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) platform to influence decision-making on drug development programs from discovery to regulatory filing. Our PBPK consultants work with hundreds of clients to inform human PK prediction, drug-drug interaction assessment, special population predictions and biopharmaceutics strategy.

We are seeking highly motivated and talented PBPK modelling scientists and experts with a DMPK, PBPK and/or a biopharmaceutics modelling background who share our passion for using PBPK models to understand and impact drug discovery and development questions.

PBPK Consultant or Associate Consultant

The role involves contributing to and/or leading consultancy projects with clients in the Pharmaceutical Industry to develop PBPK models for particular projects of interest.  Apply PBPK models in support of a number of applications including but not limited to the following:

  • DDI liability prediction
  • Food effect prediction
  • PK prediction in special populations
  • Biopharmaceutics/bioequivalence prediction
  • Large molecule PK prediction.

You will be expected to contribute to consultancy projects with supervision and will need to keep abreast of the latest scientific development in the area of PBPK and IVIVE to enable effective communication with colleagues, clients and the wider scientific community.

Hannah has over 20 years experience in global pharmaceutical organizations, possessing a particularly strong background in PBPK and PKPD modelling, She has over 50 publications in PBPK/PKPD modelling and other DMPK related topics, and considerable experience influencing drug research and development programs through modelling and simulation.

Masoud leads teams of scientists and programmers on the design, development and implementation of various aspects of systems pharmacology including in vitro-in vivo extrapolation techniques, physiologically-based PK/PD models, and the application of top-down PopPK data analysis to PBPK models in healthy volunteer and patient populations.

Alice is an expert in physiologically-based pharmacokinetic and popPK modeling and simulation.  Her research interests center around the applications of PBPK and PK/PD modeling to predicting complex drug interactions and PK/PD in special populations.  She has held research roles at the FDA and Eli Lilly.
