PRINCETON, NJ – July 16, 2015 – Certara®, the global biosimulation technology-enabled drug development company, today announced that it has appointed Tristen Herrstrom to the newly-created position of senior vice president of human resources.
With responsibility for establishing the strategic direction of Certara’s ‘people management,’ Ms. Herrstrom will focus on enhancing talent acquisition, leadership development, and other key growth initiatives. She will be based at Certara’s Princeton, NJ headquarters and report to the company’s Chief Executive Officer Edmundo Muniz, M.D., Ph.D.

Ms. Herrstrom brings 20 years of experience leading, integrating and building human resource, talent acquisition, and real estate functions in healthcare and pharmaceutical service organizations.

Prior to joining Certara, Ms. Herrstrom served as chief resource officer for QualCare Alliance Networks, Inc., and before that for inVentiv Health. In those roles, she was responsible for all resource management functions, including human resources, talent acquisition, facility management, and ensuring synergy in company programs, polices, and practices. During her time at inVentiv Health, she successfully integrated more than 25 acquired companies.
Tristen earned an MS in Human Resource Counseling from Northeastern University.
