Dr. Krishna Machavaram is a Senior Scientist at Certara. He has several years of Pharma/CRO experience in the PK/PD aspects of drug discovery and development. Since joining Simcyp in 2010, he has worked and led multiple Simcyp projects with a major focus on developing tools for modelling complex in vitro data (SIVA toolkit project) and predicting disease-drug interactions mediated via suppression of drug metabolizing enzymes. After qualifying as a Pharmacist, he received his PhD in clinical pharmacokinetics from Kakatiya University, and got his post-doctoral training in the aspects of lymphatic transport and pharmacokinetics of therapeutic proteins from Monash University. His research interests include predicting complex drug-drug interactions, IVIVE, PBPK modeling of biologics and special populations.
